From Phoenix to Kingman and the new Incinolet

I’ve had some note worthy changes in my life I thought I would share. Sorry if this gets a bit long but I promise it has some humor in…just wait till I tell you about something called the “Incinolet”

Through a series of several events (its way to long to get into) Ryan and I will be buying a Dental Practice in Kingman, AZ. In Phoenix dental practices have become so saturated that its become pretty difficult for newer dentist to start up a thriving practice…so Ryan has sold his practice in Gilbert and we are off to Kingman. Kingman is about 4 hours northwest of Phoenix. I am no longer with Murad…I’d love to say that I quit but I actually got fired at the beginning of April! Basically for not making sales goals and not opening up enough new accounts…and I have to add I got a new boss in February and me and him never hit it off so I think he was looking to get rid of me. Anyway, I was going to quit if we moved to Kingman so it worked out pretty well.

So these are some of the challenges we have had over the past few weeks….
How do we move to Kingman and still see the kids?
How do we stay consistent in a ward when it looks like we will be going down to Phoenix every other weekend to see the kids?
Do we keep a place in Phoenix?
Do we really need a place in Kingman & Phoenix? Keeping up two houses will be a lot right now…

It’s been a bit stressful to say the least...so this is where we are at. We are going to rent a place in Kingman for awhile and stay at Muv’s and Chris every other weekend when we go down to Phoenix to see the kids. Felicity and Austin love my Mom and Chris so we are going to try it out for awhile staying at there place. If it seems like to much we might look into renting a small apartment down in Phoenix…but we will see.

Oh where do we live in Kingman?!?!?!

So Kingman is down in a valley and backs up against the Hualapai Mountains. Two weeks ago when Ryan was up in Kingman working he went exploring up in the Hualapai Mountains to see if there were any small homes or cabins for rent. He went by the ranger station and met a lady that owned a few cabin homes on the mountain. She had a small 890 sq. feet cabin available to rent. Ryan was ecstatic! I on the other hand was a bit nervous about this 890 sq. foot…so last week we both came to Kingman to take a look at it. Well…it was not exactly what I was expecting….but Ryan just loved it. So let me give you a small glimpse of my new home…first you must climb the treacherous dirt road to the cabin; 4 wheel drive vehicles are recommended…lol. This cabin is old school, no dishwasher, no central heat or air, no regular trash service, and lastly…wait for it…NO SEPTIC TANK!!! I’m sure asking your self by now…well Les, what does that mean? It means you have an Incinorator Toilet!!! What is an Incinorator toilet you ask? Well, let me enlighten you…it is a toilet that burns your poop and pee!!!! You do your business in the “Incinolet” then close the metal lid; hit the burn button and yes, for the next hour your poop and pee is burned to ashes! I am not joking! This is for real ladies…then once a week you have to empty the poopy pee ashes…this will be officially be Ryan’s job!!

So enough about the “Incinolet”. I do have to say it is really beautiful up here on the mountains. It’s nice to be up in the pines and out of the hot hot dessert. The elevation is 6,500 feet and it is about 30 degrees cooler up here than down in Phoenix. We signed a six month lease to see how we like it. If we love it; we are thinking about buying a house up here…but we will see. My only request is a normal toilet and a dishwasher!!!

So ladies…next time you flush your toilet…think of me and how I long for a normal toilet again..lol!!!

Below is a few pics of my new residence for the next six months, I even included a pic of the Incinolet!!!!
